What if Thops wasn't locked outside by the scholars, but instead set his studies outside out of fear? Maybe he still felt he wasn't good enough to share the space with the academics. SPOILER WARNING: Well, it turns out that they fought because Miquella just really, really wanted to marry Radahn - whether or not Radahn himself was in on it. DLC got us all stumped lol.

I never played the OG version so I can't compare the current version to the old one. That being said I enjoy sunless city (helps that I got it much cheaper on amazon) , its not perfect by any means but I find it for the most part enjoyable. I am looking forward to the Elden ring board game because it will be interesting to see what lessons where learned when making the DS board game.

Honestly, I never see Malenia thinking about Miquella’s vision. She seemed as though she just wanted to be of use to Miquella, no matter what his vision was. As for Radahn, we’re more or less told he only went to halt the stars after his teacher told him about the monsters of the stars like Astel

It's a shame they aren't more in your face about the lore or the story. I love Elden Ring so much. I've played a billion hours of it over the last year. Just stuck on thinking about how if this stuff in the video was presented with context or cut scenes made by From Soft I just know it would be a slam dunk! And it woulda made the game feel 100% perfect. I get you have to travel around to find lore but some people won't know or won't want to do that. If the story was right in our face this game goes from like 25/10 to a 35/10. Not hating or complaining. Just thinking of what coulda been. My only real problem with the game is the camera angle when fighting huge bosses

Well I finally finished the video. HUGE props to you for going through the immense effort of putting this together, it's seriously impressive. Blasphemous is a game that constantly keeps me coming back to it, even if the sequel is "better" in a lot of ways, and you honestly illustrate the reason why very well over the course of this video. I really enjoyed your deconstruction of the lore and game design of the game, and I really appreciate how much you dove into the development history (I think everyone should watch Landing Blasphemous now that it's free and there's no excuse not to). Originally the Twisted One was meant to put a hand on his shoulder, but for some reason it was requested that he not do that. I could go on about the HW's monologue and how it relates to B2, but I'll just say that Schiff Schiff (Penitent One in Waiting) on discord has written a very in-depth document with theories about the canvas, a mentioned "High Dramatist", which he essentially argues could be a true God of the world. Since the HW mention "that would give us light and time" when talking about entrapping the people with their worship, I believe that the HW are trying to reach the Canvas of Light and Time, and that the light is from that place. If that were the case, it would make sense for them to be blinded by that light, as they are not meant to be there.

Where previously they wanted TPO to succeed and achieve Ending A, as soo as they realize that TPO intends to kill them, they deploy Crisanta as a guardian and ensure that they are safe. Since the existence of Pagan gods is more or less confirmed, I sort of imagine Sierpes could have been one such creature that was worshipped. As you mention, the area is less religious, and there's very much a feeling of age there. Echoes of salt has a similar feel, and the name seems to imply that salt (in this case the ocean) used to be there, and there are many broken boats and whatnot there too. Then of course the area is underground or at least much lower in elevation than Mother of Mothers, meaning it could perhaps have been buried with time. Just a little bit of speculation :)
